Local Certification Information

CET Certification is still the hot topic for this month. Study materials have been ordered and received, however, it is not too late to join. The target test date is in early November. Study groups have been meeting twice a week during lunches at the ASRC building. Contact Debbie Richards if you need more information or would like to sign up for the group.

The CCT (Certified Cost Technician) is a great certification for the recently-graduated and those new to the discipline because it doesn’t require the full 8 years of experience. You can take this exam with four years experience or four years of school.

The CEP (Certified Estimating Professional) is the other study session/exam being considered for this fall. Group members who earn this certification are able to establish credentials that are recognized across industries and across nations. The Alaska Section held this exam this past spring.
