President
Sean Robbins PMP, PSP

Sean Robbins’ career has taken a definitely unconventional path until ending up in project controls. In his previous incarnations; he has worked as a nuclear submarine officer, a management consultant leading manufacturing process improvement projects, a stint in the Federal government leading operations and projects, and even as an entrepreneur starting up an import business, before moving to Alaska five years ago. His formal training includes a BS in industrial engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, and an MS in project management from the University of Maryland.

He presently works for NANA WorleyParsons, performing cost and schedule work for a wide-variety of projects. He has a particular interest in uncovering ways to use common tools, such as Microsoft Excel, to not only automate and simplify his workload, but also improve the timeliness and relevance of information available to his project managers and discipline leads.

His goals for the chapter this year is to continue on the progress from last year, and to help facilitate information-sharing between members, so that we can all learn from each others’ successes and mistakes. He would also like to foster increasing the number of members and certifications, as well as attracting even more people to our meetings.

When not tied to a computer, he enjoys ATVing with his five-year old son, and camping with his family. He is also the project manager for Trick or Treat in the Heat; which raises funds for Hospice of Anchorage, the Make A Wish Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House. Back to Top
